Because modeling is one field where women are the big stars and men are afterthoughts.

I can see and get why he was a reasonably successful model, but I still don't find him particularly attractive or handsome.

I think creatives would argue you have to sleep with someone for them to really inspire your juices that they could become a artistic muse. It's not sketchy it's part of the artistic process y'know r4!

Very old-fashioned term, the default for "model" used to be assumed to be a woman, and so men who modeled were qualified as "male models." You had the same with "male nurse" and "male flight attendant" and such, back in the day.

He had an interesting and attractive face but it was pulpy. Not really edgy and otherworldly enough to be mesmerising gorgeous like say, O'Pry, and not classically handsome. He was peripherally successful not a top successful male model by far. For his age, he was sickly of body, with those stick legs and arms. Skinny is something but male models put on some muscle after 25. His tats and junky body limited his range of bookings to those who wanted that look only and frankly you'd want a grungy street 19 or 20 year old, not a 26 year old so the clock was ticking. He doesn't look like a Jersey guido, I can see the German heritage but he had a Jersey "cocky" set to his look, with those extravagant lips, and the bad boy attitude. Pity his beloved drugs got him. He probably would have gone back for his college degree and found a reliable occupation for the rest of his life.

He must’ve come from an affluent family. Male or female, models today tend to come from money so designers/houses don’t have to pay them much.
