Real Housewives of Orange County alum Heather Dubrow and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, recently became the target of critics because the couple has been accused of selling small six-ounce bottles of their own brand of hand sanitizer on TV for $28.95 without donating any money to charity. Now, Heather and Terry have fired back against the price gouging accusations and made their charitable efforts known.
The millionaire couple pitched their product on ShopHQ and sold a huge amount of the highly sought after sanitizer amid the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Twitter was not kind to the Dubrows, and many users called them out for price gouging.

“You and your husband are PRICE GOUGING. You are selling [6 ounces] of hand sanitizer for $28.95. You and your hubby get to [stay in a] $21million home, while you take advantage of people’s fear. Shame,” wrote one user, with another adding: “More about the Benjamins than helping Americans.”
Heather Dubrow was not happy about the criticism, and she told Page Six that she and her husband have already donated $35,000 to California’s Second Harvest Food Bank. Dubrow added that they have donated “thousands” to people who are working on the front lines.
The RHOC alum also said that she and her husband are giving a portion of the proceeds from their hand sanitizer to food banks – especially to kids who are not getting anything to eat – and to health care professionals.
Dr. Terry – a plastic surgeon who stars on Botched – says that the hand sanitizer they sell was developed for “persistence,” and they used the same technology that is used in rooms where patients are prepped for surgery.

Terry Dubrow acknowledged that their brand of hand sanitizer is expensive, and explained that the ingredients are “impossible to find” during the pandemic. He also claimed that the ingredients are three times the normal cost, and he and Heather have “scorched the Earth looking for them.”

Heather Dubrow added that she is a mom of four, so she is looking ahead to when society opens back up and we re-emerge with kids going back to school and camp. She noted that she wants to build a product that helps people in “a new wave of normalcy.”
