Jim Warren is a Warrant Officer in the US Army who flies AH-1 Cobra attack helicopters in the 82nd Airborne Division. Previously, he was an artillery sergeant in the Pennsylvania National Guard and fought in Korea. Ever since then, he and his wife Fran (nee Campbell) owned a farm west of Philadelphia while he worked as an accountant and she worked as a grade school teacher on the sidelines. The conflict in Vietnam stirs, and Jim feels the itch to serve again.
