The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) took place at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Monday, August 20th and one of the evening’s many attendees was Shawn Mendes.
Shawn performed at the awards show and delivered a sensational version of his top hit, In My Blood, which ended with him being soaked in water. Shawn was nominated for 3 awards, best pop video, best direction, and best cinematography for In My Blood. Unfortunately, he did not take home any awards this year.

During an interview on the pink carpet, Shawn revealed that he has over 100 show dates scheduled in 2019. “Honestly, coming to the realization playing live is my favorite thing in the whole world and that’s what I want to do always,” Shawn commented about touring. He also revealed that he wants to get into acting. When the interviewer asked what genre Shawn wanted to get into the most, he said it didn’t matter.
